The SWAG Story
SWAG was born from a simple observation: surfers in Bali were carrying beautifully crafted boards wrapped in plain, boring covers. The vibrant spirit of Balinese art and the functional needs of surfers had never been properly combined.
Founded by BaliGoat, SWAG brings together local Balinese batik artisans and modern manufacturing to create surfboard covers that are as stunning as they are functional. Every cover tells a story — a pattern passed down through generations, stamped by hand, and applied to premium waterproof materials built to withstand tropical conditions.
We believe your surfboard cover should be an expression of your style, a piece of art that protects your most prized possession.
Balinese Batik Heritage
Batik is not just a fabric — it's a language. For centuries, Balinese artisans have used wax-resist dyeing techniques to create patterns that tell stories of mythology, nature, and spirituality. Each motif has meaning: the barong represents protection, the kembang (flower) patterns symbolize beauty and life, and the ulam (fish) motifs honor the ocean that gives us our playground.
We work directly with batik artisans in Bali's traditional villages, ensuring fair wages and preserving this UNESCO-recognized cultural heritage. Every SWAG cover features an authentic batik pattern, hand-stamped and one-of-a-kind.
Material Innovation
While the exterior celebrates Balinese art, the engineering is modern and practical. Our covers are crafted from high-grade waterproof banner PVC — the same material trusted by outdoor signage professionals worldwide.
Unlike traditional fabric covers that absorb water and rot, PVC banner material is completely waterproof, UV-resistant, and incredibly durable. We heat-seal every seam for maximum water resistance — no stitching means no water penetration.
The interior is lined with a soft, non-abrasive fabric that protects your board's wax and gloss finish. Reinforced handles and heavy-duty zippers ensure your cover lasts through years of surf trips.
